Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and Refunds for Short Courses
This policy explains when a learner who cancels a short course booking receives a refund. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions.
Full Refund
A learner who cancels within 7 days of paying, and before the course starts, receives a full refund. This is the learner's cooling-off right under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
Later Cancellations
A cancellation made more than 7 days after paying, or once the course has started, is not refunded. A learner who does not attend and does not cancel is not refunded.
Death or Hospitalisation
A learner who cannot attend because they have died or been admitted to hospital receives a full refund, whenever the booking is cancelled (section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act).
Cancelled Courses
If African Greeneurs cancels or moves a course date, the learner receives a full refund.
How Refunds Are Paid
Refunds are paid within 10 working days of African Greeneurs confirming them. Card and instant EFT payments are refunded to the same card or account through PayFast or Stitch. Bank transfer (EFT) payments are refunded to the bank account the learner names in writing. The bank may take a few more working days to show the money.
How to Cancel
Email info@africangreeneurs.com or phone +27 12 669 3012 (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30), quoting the booking reference (for example AG-261016-K7QM). A cancellation counts from the day the email is received, or the day of the phone call. African Greeneurs confirms every refund in writing.
